The New Project of ADS

In early September the Atlantic Diving Supply, Inc. received a $17.6 million dollar order from the U.S. Defense Department for 425 shoulder-launched Multipurpose Assault Weapons. ADS will conduct the massive work for this project in Londonderry, New Hampshire and Lynchburg, Virginia and plans to have it completed by September 7, 2018. The weapon in question serves as an effective anti-tank weapon and was commonly used in Iraq and Afghanistan. This new model, the SMAW Mod 2, can be used effectively in enclosed spaces, unlike its predecessor which endangered users if used in enclosed spaces.

The Recent Trials of ADS

ADS is coming off some bad terms with the government after recently settling a lawsuit for fraud in the amount of $16 million. The settlement was said to have resolved the matter that had been several years in dispute. This is why ADS wanted to go ahead and settle. They wanted to continue with business as usual. This was something they could not do under the burden of the embattled lawsuit. The lawsuit did not end up ruining their relationship with any clients, obviously not even the government. The $16 million settlement would have ruined most companies. Fortunately, ADS was in good enough financial standing that they were able to stand it.

The Formation and Growth of ADS

ADS started out as a very small operation in a modest trailer over 20 years ago. It made it big after landing a lucrative military contract. By 2014 it was doing profoundly well and had around 400 employees. The government says that it was during that year that ADS hatched an elaborate defrauding plan, covering it up by doing a lot of its work through many small companies.
