When the government is looking to stay ahead of the enemy, weapons must be created to make this happen. Atlantic Diving Supply received a contract for $17.6 million to upgrade rocket launchers. These newly designed weapons will help our military defeat the threats that could destroy us.
What Are They and When Will This Happen
Rocket launchers are portable devices that are placed on the shoulder for use. If there is a stronghold that needs to be broken into, such as a building, this weapon will blow it up. To keep a good grip on it, when firing a missile, a soldier would put it on his shoulder, and stoop down on one knee. Once the target has been surprised with the blast, the army can move in and conquer. Because of the rocket launcher’s portability, it is secondary to a war tank. Londonderry, New Hampshire and Lynchburg, Virginia are the places where the work on these rocket launchers will take place. This project will be going until September 7, 2018.
The SMAW MOD 2 Rocket Launcher
The SMAW Mod 2 Rocket Launcher is getting major upgrades. Our defense team will be able to use existing ammunition, but the launcher itself will be more compatible and easy to use. Marine forces will love the stability and durability of this upgraded weapon. It can be used in closed spaces, unlike to the previous model. Our troops on the battlefield do not have to be out in the open, when launching a thermobaric warhead from this rocket launcher. It is good to know that Atlantic Diving Supply takes improving weapons for our defense very serious. Equipping our military is essential to our survival as a country. Honoring our soldiers, with the best weapons is the right way to go.
